About Reed Grass: Reed Grass is a dark green watery plant with long slender stalks, grown in the wetlands of Manipur.
Reed grass weaving is exclusively known as Meitei craft and is a traditional skill found in the east of Imphal Valley. Since Reed grass is a Manipuri product, the craft which is now internationally recognized helps sustain the local families of the state.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Reed Grass planters are made of grass and water logging at the surface can cause fungus etc to thrive in adverse condition. To avoid this you can just take any plastic bag and keep it at the bottom surface of the planter.
If water falls on it or you soak the planters in water it will cause no damage to the planter (only when water is sitting on it for a long long time, fungus etc thrives.)
On a daily basis when you water the plants and water drips on outer surface etc, just wipe it with any cloth or your hand, do the same to wipe off any dust settled.
